Peterbilt has produced its millionth truck

Today, Peterbilt is part of the PACCAR concern - along with other equally well-known truck manufacturers - Kenworth and DAF.

Retail sales of heavy class trucks (class 8) in the US and Canada in 2017 amounted to 218 thousand units. For comparison, in 2016 - 216 thousand units. The share of Kenworth and Peterbilt reached record levels - 30.7% (in 2016 - 28.5%).
The Class 8 truck market in the US and Canada is expected to grow to 235,000 to 265,000 units in 2018.
As for Europe, here PACCAR firmly holds a high market share. "DAF trucks provide premium quality, low operating costs and superior driver comfort to our customers," said Preston Fit, DAF president.
European sales of trucks over 16 tons GVW in 2017 amounted to 306,000 units. In 2018, it is planned to sell from 290 to 320 thousand cars in this segment
